Chem Club wins Outstanding award -- again
The Chemistry Club is outstanding (again!) and they have proof (again!) from the American Chemical Society.
Professor and club advisor Dr. Nate Beres was recently notified that the club has been selected to receive an Outstanding award for its activities conducted during the 2016-17 academic year. This is the third year the Chemistry Club has received this award. Club members will accept the award when they attend the ACS national meeting in New Orleans in March.
For the 2016-17 academic year, more than 400 chapter activity reports were submitted and just 52 of those – including Heidelberg’s club – were judged Outstanding.
In a letter from ACS President Dr. Allison Campbell commended Nate for his “commitment of time and energy that a successful chapter requires.”
