PURSUITS: Week of Nov. 30, 2015
Dr. Nate Beres (chemistry), Heidelberg’s Chemistry Club and the departments of Chemistry and Biochemistry were recognized in The Nexus, a publication of the American Chemical Society Green Chemistry Institute. The recognition centers on the Chem Club’s Green Chemistry Student Chapter Award, which the club received for the second year in a row earlier this fall. The award is an indication that the club demonstrated the value of green chemistry to humans the environment by incorporating green chemistry principles into at least three of its outreach activities.
