Heidelberg community shares advice for freshmen

We are quickly approaching the end of the first month at Heidelberg for our freshmen. When our freshmen waved their families “goodbye” in the middle of August, they may not have realized that the entire Heidelberg family was waving them “hello!” And with that greeting came some bright advice.

Heidelberg upperclassmen, faculty and staff members filmed some tidbits of advice in the days before freshmen arrived on campus. Julia Schaefer, Jessica Harness-Koehnle, Molly Cannon, Isaiah Young, Zaria Keys, Serria Allen and David Banks reflected on their past few years at the Berg and were excited to help the freshmen carve their own paths. They were joined by Director of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Aaron Nelson, Cross Country Coach Ryan Palm and Heidelberg’s newest faculty member Dr. Noel Mano, who shared their own nuggets of truth from their college days.

You can view their welcoming wisdoms on Heidelberg University’s social media pages, and on this YouTube playlist.
