Mayor Montz to new students: Dream big

Just 12 years have passed since Tiffin Mayor Aaron Montz was among the group of new students at Opening Convocation. On Thursday, he came full circle as the Convocation keynote speaker.

The traditional Convocation ceremony officially ushered in the 2016-17 academic year on Thursday. Provost Beth Schwartz and President Rob Huntington delivered welcoming remarks to one of the largest classes of freshmen and transfer students in Heidelberg's history. During the traditional pinning ceremony, new students received their "H" pins from faculty members.

Convocation also featured the 'Berg directorial debut of Jon Waters and the Athletic Band, who, along with the Singing Collegians, brought huge energy to the festivities.
