PACE Application
Partners in Academic Coaching for Excellence (PACE) is a partnership between Seneca County Juvenile Court and Heidelberg University to provide tutoring services to students on probation. The program pairs Heidelberg students as “academic coaches” with local children, ages 12-18, as a condition of the children’s probation. The Heidelberg tutors work on homework and literacy, and provide a positive perspective about school and learning.
We meet on Wednesdays for an hour, from 3-4pm in Aigler 4. Makenna Finnegan runs the weekly workshops, and Dr. Lazzari advises the Coaches. If interested, please fill out the form, prior to September 20, 2024. Our Orientation is 9/27/24 from 3-4. In order to participate in the program, you have to get a background check done (PACE will pay for the background check) and attend the Orientation. Working with PACE for a semester also counts as a Hype 300 level experience.
Application needs to be submitted by 5pm on 10/20/24: https://forms.gle/Zpa4EqZS7wuBs1FE8
