Ohio Innocence Project coming to Heidelberg

Richard Horton spent 17 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit. He was charged with two counts of aggravated robbery, felonious assault, aggravated burglary and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was released from prison in 2022.

Join Dr. Lazzari's Introduction to Criminology and Criminal Justice class (CRM 151), as they are joined by Pierce Reed, Director of Policy and Engagement for the Ohio Innocence Project, Richard Horton, and Richard's wife, Janette. They will discuss Richard's case, his time in prison, and the impact this had on Richard's family.

Light refreshments will be provided by Alpha Phi Sigma, the Criminal Justice Honors Society.

RSVP by 4/1/24 here.

The location will be sent to you, once you have sent in your RSVP.

Dr. Lazzari will send out information about the location of the event on 4/9/24.
