Faculty Pursuits: Week of April 8, 2024

O'Reilly, Heaton

Drs. Julie O'Reilly (Communication, Women & Gender Studies), Marc O'Reilly (Political Science), and Robin Heaton (Communication) co-presented a project titled Donnybrook Masculinity and Scorched Earth Feminism: The Politics of Gender in Letterkenny at the national Popular Culture Association (PCA) conference in Chicago on March 28.

Julie, who serves as the Gender Studies Area Chair for PCA, also chaired two panels. While at the conference, they spent time with Dr. Amrita Basu Roy Chowdhury, who teaches in the Department of Women's Studies at Lady Brabourne College in Kolkata, India. Dr. Basu Roy Chowdhury was a guest speaker at Heidelberg last semester.
