Faculty/Staff Title IX and FERPA required training

The Office of Campus Security and Compliance/Title IX has launching this year’s mandatory Title IX and FERPA training for all faculty and staff. This training is important to help ensure that we remain in compliance with federal regulations and continue to maintain a safe and supportive environment for our community.

Training Details:

• What: Online Title IX and FERPA Training
• Deadline: Please complete the training by December 20th, 2024.
• Why: This training is required annually to ensure our community adheres to federal regulations and maintains a respectful and supportive learning environment.

Training Time Estimates:

Training times are estimated based on the average time to complete videos and answer test questions. Training can be completed under the estimated times below. Each course is divided into several sections, so you can pause the training whenever you need, and your progress will be saved.

• Title IX Training: Approximately 150 minutes (2.5 hours)
• FERPA Training: Approximately 20 minutes

Important Note:

The training will be assigned to you via email through Safecolleges.com. You will receive an email notification with a link to access the training modules. Alternatively, you can visit https://heidelberg-oh.safecolleges.com/ and log in using your Heidelberg Google account.
We encourage you to complete the training before the holiday break so you can enjoy the season without any outstanding requirements. We recommend setting aside time to complete Title IX first, as it takes longer.

Next Steps:

1. Look for the training assignment email from Safecolleges.com.
2. Follow the link in the email to access your assigned training modules.
3. Complete both the Title IX (2.5 hours) and FERPA (20 minutes) training before December 20th.
