Why HYPE Days?

Why HYPE Day?

It has been brought to our attention that many faculty members and students are not aware of the purpose of HYPE Day.

HYPE Day has been established to provide students with skills (soft, people, practical) to prepare for entering, advancing, and/or succeeding in the workplace. These skills include learning more about your strengths and areas for growth (PRADCO), creating a strong resume, and having professional social media pages.

The HYPE Career Ready® Program has grown from teaching practical life skills and getting to know your fellow Student Princes to learning how to navigate the professional environment.

We are working with Admission to become part of Welcome Week. We will create a mini-HYPE Career Ready® orientation for all new students. Advisors will have access to this content and we will work on having it uploaded to our HYPE Career Ready® page.

Keep in mind that HYPE Day is not taking away a free day. If there were no HYPE Days, then you would have regular classes.

Please reach out with any questions, comments, or concerns. We are here to assist you with anything Career Services and HYPE Career Ready®-related.
