Speech Team victorious

Heidelberg's Speech Team has been busy talking and bringing back honors to the Berg! Recently the team won the Novice State Championship.

Earning individual honors were Hannah Petitti, who took second place in Extemporaneous Speaking, fourth place in Informative Speaking and seventh place in Prose Interpretation. Hannah and teammate Penelope Christian won second place in Dramatic Duo Interpretation.

Heidelberg's team also took fourth place at Ohio University's annual Interstate Tournament. At this tournament, Justin Mourguet placed first in Impromptu Speaking and sixth in Extemporaneous Speaking.

Please pass on your congratulations to these incredible students, and their coach, Dan Higgins, as they continue to carry the "forensics torch" well into the team's second century.
