Faculty members share their research

Dr. Trevor Bates presents his research on 'Emotional Intelligence: Improving Faculty Searches in Academe.'

A total of 16 faculty members presented their research during the 21st annual Faculty Research Symposium Thursday. Presentations covered a wide range of topics, including Standing Up on Campus: College Comics and Academic Climate, co-presented by communication professor Julie O'Reilly and December grad Megan Honaker. Other presenters included Greg Ramsdell, David Bush, David Kimmel, Michele Castleman, Margarita Denenburg, Trevor Bates, Stacey Pistorova, Traci Stark, Justin Pruneski, Nathan Cutietta, Doug McConnell, Bill Reyer, Ken Baker, Diane Monaco, Emily Isaacson and Marc O'Reilly.

The Faculty Research Symposium is the precursor to the Minds at Work Student Research Conference. Students were encouraged to attend the faculty sessions in preparation for their own presentations on April 5.
