'Berg celebrates women entrepreneurs

For the fifth straight year, the School of Business on Tuesday shined a light on the vision and commitment of local women entrepreneurs. The school honored the following four women for their commitment to the local business climate:

• New Entrepreneur Award -- Lori Mastro of Buffalo Wild Wings

• Established Entrepreneur Award -- mother and daughter Linda Reis and Haley Thomas of Ballreich Potato Chips and Snacks

• Lifetime Achievement Award -- Sharon Gosche of The Clover Club

Dr. Susan McCafferty served as emcee for the awards presentation. In their brief remarks, each of the award winners thanked the community for supporting them and their businesses, both new and throughout the years. They spoke about perseverance, persistence, risks and responsibilities of launching and operating their business ventures.
