Student research grant funding available
The first deadline to apply for Pepsi grant research funding is Oct. 1. Students who want to request funding for research projects can apply through the Martha and Ernest Hammel Student Research Fund or the Pepsi Grant program. Below are specific instructions.
Martha and Ernest Hammel Student Research Fund available to Undergraduates and Graduate Students
Students who would like to request funding for research projects may apply for a grant from the Martha and Ernest Hammel Student Research Fund. This Fund is intended to provide Heidelberg students with grants to conduct research in sciences and the arts and to contribute to the advancement of knowledge. Enrolled undergraduate and graduate students in good academic standing are eligible to apply for this award three times each year - October 1, February 1 and April 1. The next deadline to submit a proposal for funding this academic year is October 1, 2017. Application forms are available here. Students may apply for the award retroactively. However, this does not guarantee or increase the chances that the student will receive the requested funds. Recipients of this award will be required to present a report of their study at the Heidelberg University Annual Student Research Conference or another acceptable forum.
If you have questions, please contact Dr. Vicki Ohl, Associate Vice President for Academic Administration, Honors and Faculty Support, or Dr. Kylee Spencer, Associate Professor of Biology.
