STEM in the Park

Members of The Chem Club volunteered their time this past Saturday to represent Heidelberg and get younger kids excited about STEM. The eighth annual STEM in the Park was held at the Perry Field House at Bowling Green State University. The family-friendly event featured more than 150 interactive STEM activities facilitated by volunteers from higher education institutions, pre K-12 agencies, community non-profits and local businesses, all who share the common goal of advancing STEM interest, awareness and education, and promoting STEM careers. Participants chose from activities in various"zones," including the All Wheels Zone, Robotics Zone, H2O Zone, Food Science Zone, Science and Technology of Digital Media Zone and Science of Sports Zone. The event, which typically draws thousands of participants, offers hands-on STEM-infused activities coordinated by the Northwest Ohio Center for Excellence in STEM education at BGSU. 'Berg Chem Club members were among many groups who participated.
