Profs planning trip to Iceland

In May, political science professor Dr. Marc O’Reilly and geology professor Dr. Amy Berger will lead a group on the exploration of Iceland’s valleys, geysers and hot springs. The Geology in Iceland tour is open to faculty, staff, students and alumni.

The group will visit such destinations as Reykjavik and the National Museum, Hvolsvöllur and the Thingvellir National Water Park, the Thorsmork Glacier Valley, the Seljalandsfoss and Skógarfoss waterfalls, the Skógarfoss Folk Museum and the village of Vik, among others.

Although they are not required, there are two spring semester courses that relate to the Iceland trip: Amy’s Geology 320 course and Marc’s Honors 103-14B course.

Dates for the trip are May 22-27. The $3,505 price includes round-trip airfare, tour transportation, accommodations and meals.

For additional information, contact Marc at moreilly@heidelberg.edu or Amy at aberger@heidelberg.edu.
