Sam finds his calling (Hint: It's not football)

Michael Sam blazed a trail as the first openly gay athlete to be drafted into a major American sports league. But his plans took an unexpected turn. Sam was on campus last Tuesday as the keynote speaker for the fifth HYPE Day this year. Through a difficult childhood with many obstacles, he rose to the pinnacle of college football and ultimately was drafted into the NFL. But his pro football career was not to be. Through his personal journey, he found his true calling.
