Chi Sigma Iota hosts MAC banquet
The Master of Arts in Counseling end-of-the-year celebration took place on Friday, April 5. The event was hosted by the Chi Sigma Iota Executive Board, which includes members Mary Felton, president; Haley Mangette, vice president; Ash Joshi, secretary; Quinn Sparks, treasurer; Mo Stohlman, clinical counseling representative; and Dane Pitchford, school counseling representative.
During the event, Dr. John Laux, current University of Toledo professor of counselor education, spoke about weathering the storm and his personal journey in establishing his counselor identity. Additionally, 22 of the students in the MAC program were inducted into the Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Honor Society.
Students who will be graduating in May were also recognized during the event, and awards were presented to two of the graduating students. The Outstanding MAC Clinical Student was awarded to Mary Felton, and the Outstanding MAC School Counseling Student was awarded to Robert Fruscella.
The evening came to a close with a raffle that consisted of various prizes donated from the community.
