A case for success: Business majors score well in competition

L-R: Heidelberg's Case Competition Team of (L-R) Samantha Dorgan, Chase Hushour and Clayton Wielinski with Chuck Sulerzynski, the CEO of Peoples Bank.

Congratulations to the School of Business Case Competition Team of Samantha Dorgan, Chase Hushour and Clayton Wielinski, who placed third among 12 colleges and universities in last weekend's Peoples Bank Undergraduate Business Case Competition at Marietta College. Dr. Omar Malik is their faculty advisor.

Placing ahead of the Heidelberg teams were Oberlin College (first) and a team from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.

The annual competition gives students the opportunity to compete with peers to provide a solution to a real-world business scenario. The competition takes place over two days; each team presents its business case response to a group of Peoples’ executives. After their initial presentations, the finalists compete for the top $1,500 prize.

In addition to the competition experience, the students also interact with business leaders in financial services industry and receive valuable feedback on the results of their work.

Dean Haseeb Ahmed expressed congratulations to the students and their professors who assisted with preparing the team.
