Bless them, one and all

As has become an annual tradition, the Blessing of the Animals and Pets took place on a beautiful fall afternoon Thursday in front of Hoernemann Refectory. The offices of Religious Life and Student Engagement sponsored the blessing, which drew quite a variety of pets, large and small.

Among them were a gecko, a chinchilla, a rabbit, a mouse, a chameleon and of course, a variety of dogs who received blessings from Chaplain Paul Sittason Stark. Faculty and staff members enjoyed sharing their furry friends with students, and the pets seemed to have a great time getting lots of extra attention. Here, the Golden Retriever Mickey, who's Angie Giles' loyal friend, receives his blessing from Paul.
