Speech Team wins at Muskingum

Heidelberg medals at the Ohio Forensic Association's Fall Tournament

Heidelberg's Speech Team earned multiple honors at the Ohio Forensic Association's annual "Heart of It All" Fall tournament held at Muskingum University on Saturday, November 2. Leading the team in honors was junior Katie Bauman, who was the tournament champion in Persuasive Speaking. She also placed fifth in Informative Speaking. Also earning honors for the Berg was sophomore McCartney Betz, who placed sixth in Dramatic Interpretation.

Director of Forensics Dan Higgins was thrilled with the team's efforts at their first tournament of the year. "We were up against some great competition this weekend. Several of the top schools in the nation were represented there and our students absolutely held their own."

Heidelberg's team travels next to BGSU on November 23 for the annual "Falcon Classic" Tournament.
