Heidelberg supports students with HEERF funds

Heidelberg University has been granted funding from the U.S. Department of Education under the CARES Act Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF). These funds are designated to assist students who have experienced financial hardship brought on by the COVID-19 health crisis. The university is currently in the process of dispersing the funds to students. Any Heidelberg student who filed the 2019-20 FAFSA is eligible to apply for grant money to assist with incurred expenses related to the COVID-19 pandemic including:

  • Rent and Housing
  • Food
  • Technology needs (computer, internet access, etc.)
  • Course materials
  • Medical expenses
  •  Other expenses

Currently, 188 students have applied for and received funding to help them and their families. 

Per U.S. Department of Education regulations, we’ve posted information concerning Heidelberg's participation in the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund.
