Speech Team Victorious at Ohio Forensics Association's "Heart of it All" Tournament

Heidelberg's Speech Team earned great acclaim once again as they placed third at the Ohio Forensics Association's "Heart of it All" Tournament this past weekend. The team continues to rise to the challenge of competing in a virtual format during the COVID-19 crisis. Katie Bauman once again was the tournament champion in Communication Analysis. She also placed third in Broadcast Journalism and won fourth place in overall Individual Sweepstakes points.

Allison Fisher showed a strong performance for her first tournament of the year, placing fifth in Informative speaking and sixth in Broadcast Journalism. Returning team member McCartney Betz placed fifth with her Dramatic Interpretation while first-year speaker Olivia "Liv" Bean placed third in Informative Speaking.

Director of Forensics Dan Higgins had this to say about the team's efforts: "The students continue to impress me. No matter the circumstances, they bring their best efforts and represent the 'Berg proudly!"
