Donation Drive for the Seneca County Youth Detention Center

Alpha Phi Sigma, the Criminal Justice Honors Society, would like to provide support for a community partner. The Seneca County Youth Detention Center has an incentive program for incarcerated youth that allow the youth to earn points that they can then "cash" in for various items. Some of the items that the youth really enjoy receiving are personal hygiene items that aren't the standard items given to them by the Detention Center. They are in need of body wash and deodorant (for both men and women), toothpaste, chapstick, and hair care (shampoo and conditioner). We would specifically like to provide haircare needs of youth of color, since the basic items provided are never the necessary products for individuals with textured hair. We are so grateful for your support.

We will place donation boxes throughout campus, starting on February 18. The boxes will remain around campus until February 25. Boxes will be posted in Aigler, University Hall, Hoernemann, Rock Creek Cafe and the Bistro Bistro. Other locations will be designated on the flyers posted around campus.
