A cool clothing collaboration for criminal justice honorary

Sometimes, it pays to have connections. Some time back, criminology professor Dr. Sarah Lazzari collaborated with Bobby Barzi, the owner of fodada, a clothing company based out of Newport Beach, California. fodada celebrates and promotes great dads, providing programming to promote the importance of healthy dad and kid interactions, including a parenting program for incarcerated dads at Snake River Correctional Institution in Oregon.

When hearing about this, Brooke Franz, the current president of Heidelberg’s chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma, the criminal justice honorary, had a stellar idea. Brooke suggested Alpha Phi Sigma reach out to Barzi and about a possible collaboration with him and his company to create a sweatshirt for their chapter. After meeting with Brooke and Sarah, who explained the goals and activities of the group, he said yes.

His fodada team designed a sharp navy and yellow sweatshirt specifically for the group at no cost. The students pictured are proudly modeling their new sweatshirts, which include Lady Liberty on the front and their Greek letters on the sleeve:
