Meeting a civil rights icon

'Berg junior Bethany Beaver (front left), who's completing her Washington Semester at American University, had an opportunity recently to meet with U.S. Rep. John Lewis, D-Georgia (center), a respected representative and civil rights icon. Bethany and her classmates were in the presence of a public servant who has spent decades protecting human rights, securing civil liberties and building community in America. Lewis is highly respected on both sides of the aisle, so the students were honored to spend some time with him.
