Student brings 'farm to table' to campus

With the farm-to-table movement gaining steam, Katie Carey decided the time was perfect to explore the issue in depth. During the spring semester, Katie designed an independent study project that examined different concepts – such as politics, the environment and building communities – and how they play into the food system. The culmination of her project was a presentation for the campus community, titled A Seat at the Table: The Environment, Politics and Community in the Farm-to-Table Movement. Read about the genesis of Katie's project and her inspiration here.
