The return of the Ginkgo Tree Leaf Drop contest

We have decided to resurrect a campus tradition: the Ginkgo Tree Leaf Drop contest. All Heidelberg employees are eligible to take part in the contest to guess when the Ginkgo Tree's last leaf will fall.

According to organizer Ryan Musgrave, his sources have told him that the Ginkgo pool was run for many years by Dr. Bill Wickham, professor emeritus of business. Bill served for many years as the chair of the Business Department and still lives in Tiffin. Additionally, Betty Lutz, who worked in the Business Office, kept decades of Ginkgo history since the tree was outside her office window in University Hall. She also still lives in Tiffin.

As you may or may not know, Ginkgo Trees tend to lose all of their leaves in a very short window of time. If you would like to enter the contest to predict when the last leaf will drop, please complete this form.

Please feel free to share with others on campus.

Enjoy your Fall Break!
