Field trip takes ecology class to Estuarine Research Reserve

Dr. Doug Kane’s Freshwater Ecology class (WSS 335) recently visited Old Woman Creek National Estuarine Research Reserve in Huron, Ohio.  An overnight at the facilities’ dorms was followed by sampling the estuary for physical and chemical parameters, macroinvertebrates, and fishes in the morning and then doing the same in the afternoon in the Huron River at Milan Wildlife Area (Lovers’ Lane).
