Freshwater Ecology class attends state meeting

Students in Dr. Doug Kane’s Freshwater Ecology (Watershed Science 335) class recently attended the 51st Water Management Association of Ohio meeting in Columbus.

While at the meeting, students attended a number of talks related to the course and also attended a session titled Careers in Water Resource: Professional and Student Networking Event, aimed at helping them find internships and jobs in water-related fields. 

Additionally, Doug presented to a standing-room audience on Coldwater Chloride and Scioto Salt – More Examples of Salinization in Ohio Rivers?” with Dr. Nate Manning and Dr. Laura Johnson, co-authors from the National Center for Water Quality Research, and Dr. Stephen Jacquemin of Wright State University- Lake Campus.
