First-Generation National Honor Society

Heidelberg University is pleased to announce that our first-generation student national honor society, Alpha Alpha Alpha, is now accepting new members.

All Tri-Alpha members are eligible to wear our double honor cords at graduation.

To qualify:

  • you must be currently registered student,
  • who has completed at least 48 credit hours (15 of which must have been at Heidelberg for transfer students),
  • who has an overall GPA of at least 3.2 in all coursework, and
  • who comes from a family where neither parent nor any legal guardians earned a bachelor’s degree.

The Induction Ceremony will be scheduled in April, so please register quickly if you qualify. Your one-time dues payment of $20 gives you lifetime membership in Alpha Alpha Alpha. Even if your GPA drops, you do not lose Tri-Alpha status; you are a lifetime member!

You've shown incredible success here at Heidelberg, celebrate that success with us!

Please visit our homepage on Inside.heidelberg.edu and follow the links to join Tri-Alpha and to pay your one-time fee of $20 no later than Wednesday, March 23. Students who cannot afford the lifetime dues may privately request a faculty, staff or alumni sponsor to cover the fee for you. Email Dr. Barry Devine (bdevine@heidelberg.edu) for more information.
