Staff mentor needed for National Honor Society

Dr. Barry Devine is investigating bringing a chapter of the Tri-Alpha (AAA) National honor Society for first-generation college students to Heidelberg's campus. The chapter application requires that we have two advisors - one member of the faculty and one staff member. Barry will be the faculty advisor, but needs a volunteer for the staff advisor position.

Responsibilities will include participation in the induction ceremony each year and at the cord ceremony sometime near graduation. All other duties will be handled by Barry or the student governing officers.

Staff members who are first-generation students themselves are encouraged to be an advisor, but you need not be. You just need to want to help serve the mission of the honor society in recognizing our amazing students.

Here is a link to the national organization.

Please contact Barry if you are interested in taking on this role ( bdevine@heidelberg.edu ).

This is an exciting opportunity for our students. Please join us.
