NOW CLOSED: CARES Act relief funds still available to students

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS APPLICATION IS NOW CLOSED!

This is a reminder that Heidelberg University was awarded funding under the CARES Act Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) and we still have funds available. These funds are designated to assist students who have experienced financial hardship brought on by the COVID-19 health crisis. If you have ongoing expenses that qualify, you may still apply.

Any Heidelberg student who filed the 2019-20 or 2020-21 FAFSA is eligible to apply for grant money to assist you with incurred expenses related to the COVID-19 pandemic including:

  • Rent and Housing
  • Food
  • Technology needs (computer, internet access, etc.)
  • Course materials
  • Medical expenses
  • Other expenses

If you have incurred a cost related to any of the above, please complete the HEERF application. Applications will be reviewed within 10 business days and you will be notified via Heidelberg email if funding is approved. The grant will be directly deposited to the bank account that has been set up in your OASIS account. We cannot apply this grant to any outstanding balance on your student account.

If your family has experienced a loss of income because of the COVID-19 pandemic, you can apply for additional funding by completing the Special Conditions Form and submitting it to the Office of Financial Aid. Please email financial-aid@heidelberg.edu for questions regarding this form.
