The Berg Business Board promotes, advises and supports the Heidelberg School of Business and its dean on new programs and initiatives, community outreach, student experiential learning, networking and career development opportunities, and sharing expertise in and outside the classroom, among other activities.

Meet the Berg Business Board

Bupp

Jerry graduated from the University of Toledo with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He is the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at National Machinery LLC in Tiffin. National Machinery is the world headquarters and the main production site for the manufacture of machine tool equipment, spare parts and service business. Jerry has held various positions in Engineering, Marketing and Sales and has been part of National Machinery’s Senior Leadership Team since 2008. He is responsible for the Global Sales Group and associated new equipment and partner product revenue lines. Locally, Jerry has chaired the Clinton Athletic Boosters, Tiffin Junior Basketball, Mercy Hospital Board, Industrial Fastener Institute Board, Community Hospice Care Board and is active with St. John’s UCC.

Sara Costanzo

Sara has been with the Weltman firm for over 25 years. During this time, she has served as practice chair of the firm’s Community Banking, Government Collections, Healthcare Collections, Landlord/Tenant and Utility Collections Groups. Since 2018, she has worked in the Business Development Group, where she focuses on maintaining client relationships as well as developing new ones both locally and nationally in scale.

Cris Gossard

Cris has been in the commercial banking industry for the past 28 years. He has been involved in multiple local and national organizations that serve his community. His wife, Dr. Laurie (Krizovski) Gossard, is also a graduate of Heidelberg.

Eduardo Hernando

Eduardo is a serial entrepreneur with experience in healthcare, real estate and pet grooming. He was the first person to bring physical, occupational and speech therapies to the assisted living industry from 1993-1998, growing this vision into reality and over 200 employees. He is a partner in a family company where he oversees business development, acquisitions and financing, creating profitable programs, expanding the physician network and growing the company through management and acquisitions to 20 locations. His latest venture has led to the opening of RaboCao, a pet grooming salon franchise

Lisa Hohman

The CEO of Concordance Healthcare Solutions, Lisa began her career in the distribution industry in 1992, working in a variety of roles prior to joining Seneca Medical in 2000. She began at Seneca Medical as a Sales Manager and soon transitioned to leading the development of internal departments such as Supplier Relations, Sales Support and Item Maintenance. She also oversaw Procurement, Operations, Customer Service, Sales Support, Sourcing and Supplier Relations and was named the Chief Strategy Officer for the organization, in addition to joining the governing board. Seneca Medical merged with Kreiser’s and MMS, a medical supply company, to form Concordance in 2016. In 2019, Lisa was named the CEO of Concordance and now leads the development of the company’s short- and long-term strategy. Lisa currently chairs the HIDA Education Foundation Board and was awarded the 2019 Professional Women in Healthcare Leadership of Distinction Award.

Sherri Johnson

Sherri is the CEO and Founder of Sherri Johnson Coaching & Consulting. With 25 years of experience in real estate as an agent, broker and executive, Sherri offers her proven strategies through coaching, consulting and keynote speaking services nationwide. She is also a preferred national coach for multiple Top 10 national real estate brokers and has been named an RISMedia Real Estate Newsmaker the past 3 years as an industry influencer and thought leader.

Dan Miller

Dan is responsible for managing and organizing an effective Corporate Compliance and Ethics Program for United Church Homes and provides operational leadership to UCH management. He leads development strategy and implementation to assure effective services are met. In addition to his bachelor’s degree from Heidelberg, Dan has certification as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and in Healthcare Compliance.

Paul Stallings

Paul began his career with Goodyear Bank before transferring to corporate accounting at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. There, he served as a field credit manager as well as the corporate credit manager for Air Treads, Inc., a global Goodyear subsidiary headquartered in Atlanta. He was responsible for credit policy, extension and collection as well as sales and use, and property taxes. Paul later served as a regional finance manager. After receiving his MBA from Georgia State University, he returned to Akron as the finance manager for 700 Goodyear service centers. He completed a stint with Six Sigma and later became the VP and Controller for Allied Tire Service, a Goodyear subsidiary. He has worked as a consultant for the city of Akron on water management issues and currently serves as the accounting manager for Progressive Insurance’s real estate organization.

David Stover

David held numerous positions in Sales Leadership, Merchandising and Marketing Management with The Andersons Inc. for over 25 years. He received his bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Economics from The Ohio State University and his MBA in marketing from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. He has served as an adjunct instructor at Heidelberg and is the current owner of Stover Insurance Services in Tiffin.

Mark Turpin

Mark is the President of Duperon Corp., an international company that designs, develops and manufactures preliminary liquid/solids separation technologies for dams, pump stations, wastewater and industrial applications. With 32 years of experience in manufacturing, and 16 years as an executive leader for both private and public manufacturing companies, Mark has extensive experience in delivering organic and innovative growth across multiple industries. Under his leadership, Duperon has experienced continuous growth, launched six new products and several innovations for the water industry, and has been recognized and awarded top honors from several local and industry organizations.

Patty Withrow

After graduating from Heidelberg with degrees in business administration and Spanish, Patty joined Dow Chemical Co. During 38 years at Dow, she held various roles in Accounting and Finance including Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Work Processes and Systems, Business Finance, Purchasing and Corporate Reporting. While at Dow, she was involved in recruiting activities and served four years on the Michigan State Accounting External Advisory Board. She retired in 2019 as one of the directors in External Reporting.

David Zak

In May 2022, David became President & CEO of the Crawford Partnership, a 501c3 public-private partnership dedicated to driving economic, community and workforce development in Crawford County, Ohio. He has been working in economic development for 27 years and leading organizations for 19 years. Previously, he served in leadership roles in Seneca, Clark and Fairfield counties, as well as at the Ohio Department of Development. He is an instructor at the Ohio Economic Development Institute and has also served as a Board Vice President and Northwest Ohio Director for the Ohio Economic Development Association. During his career, he has helped support the creation of 18,000 jobs and $1.7 billion in investment.

Erin Marchant

Erin is a 2006 Heidelberg graduate in Political Science and Economics. She holds an MBA from Ashland University, an M.S. in Information Architecture and Knowledge Management from Kent State University, and is currently pursuing her PhD in Global Leadership and Change at Tiffin University. She currently leads the Military, Regional, and Business Jet Lighting business at Collins Aerospace, one of the largest Tier 1 aerospace suppliers in the world. In this role, Erin leads an international team of professionals, focusing on long-term business strategy, customer relationships, and aerospace innovation. Before joining Collins Aerospace, she had an extensive career in strategic planning, systems, supply chain with companies like Moen, Henkel, and Rolls-Royce. She is a frequent conference speaker and has contributed articles for the Institute of Business Forecasting’s online journal and blog. Erin is also the 2023 recipient of Heidelberg’s Young Alumni Achievement Award, and resides in Dayton, OH.
