Faculty Pursuits: Week of March 23, 2026

Dr. Greg Ramsdell (Music & Theatre) recently served as guest conductor for the 2026 Wayne County Festival of Choirs. He rehearsed the mass choir of 275+ students on two selections and then conducted them on March 2, the day of the concert performance.

Additionally, Greg has been meeting with area high school and choral program directors to assist them in preparing for large-group performance assessments. Since January, he has met with music personnel from 16 high schools throughout northwest Ohio.

Professor Karla Kash and Sue Hlavinka (Theatre) accompanied 11 'Berg theatre students for the presticious Southeastern Theatre Conference in Chattanooga, Tennessee recently. While at the conference, Karla delivered a masterclass in ActorMovement: Laban, sharing expert methodology with practitioners and students from across the region. 

Three 'Berg students were appointed to the conference "Dream Team," gaining exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to industry-scale production management. The 'Berg delegation also took part in the 24-hour/10-minute Play Festival and engaged in auditions and interviews, securing vital connections and offers for summer contracts and internships.
