Perfect merging of art and science

Students enrolled in Dr. Nate Beres's and Dr. Aaron Roerdink's "The Science of Art" class last spring explored the big question, "What Is Art" and took it another step, studying the preservation and conservation of art. The culmination of the class was a 10-day trip to Amsterdam to explore some of Europe's finest museums. While there, the students got up close and personal with the works of some world-class artists such as Vincent van Gogh. Their Amsterdam adventure had a significant impact on them, academically and personally.
