Take Back The Night
Take Back the Night is a global movement that aims to end sexual violence and create safer communities. It began in the 1970s as a protest against sexual violence and sexualized subordination of women.
At Heidelberg, we are continuing this movement to ensure all students are safe on campus. This event will host a speaker who will bring awareness to the violence of sexual assault and ways we can prevent it as a campus community. After our speaker, there will be a walk-through exhibit called "What Were You Wearing?" which shows outfits survivors were wearing during their victimization. This exhibit shows that it is NEVER the victim's fault, and your clothing never means you're asking for it.
