Faculty Pursuits: Week of June 1, 2026

Congratulations to Sue Hlavinka (Theatre) for graduating with her Master of Arts in Theatre degree with an emphasis in Design from Regents University in May.

Michael Shirtz (Music) and the Studio2Stage ensemble worked with Norwalk High School to perform two shows for choir and theatre students at the school’s Performing Arts Center on May 2. The group was joined by students from Monroeville High School to enjoy Studio2Stage’s show performance and a Q&A afterwards.

Karla Kash (Theatre) She choreographed three tap numbers for Coppélia at Fremont Ballet School in the spring semester. This summer, she is directing and choreographing at StageDoor Manor and training at the Great Lakes Michael Chekhov Consortium.

Late in the spring semester, Dr. Greg Ramsdell (Music) held music rehearsals with the cast of Alice by Heart for the Norwalk Arts Center’s Teen Theatre production of the show. Additionally, Greg served as the guest choral clinician for the high school honor choir at the Harry Alexander Music Festival at Ridgedale High School.

The bookstore will be closed for sales following Alumni Weekend through the 4th of July weekend as we conduct end-of-year inventory.
All Heidelberg faculty and staff are invited to attend an upcoming QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Suicide Prevention Training on Monday, May 18th at 11:00 AM in Herbster Chapel.
Alumni Weekend 2026, "Clue at the Berg: Sweet Alma Home Edition," is coming soon, and everyone is invited! Please consider joining us and/or volunteering to be part of our team from Friday, June 19, to Sunday, June 21, 2026.
Summer positions are available at Krammes Service Center.
May 4th- May 9th the bookstore will be offering 10% off to students and 20% off to faculty/staff.
