Free STNA course being offered again

The Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences is collaborating again with Autumnwood Care Center to provide a no-cost training course that would make students eligible to sit for the state test to be certified as an STNA. This course is about 80 hours of lecture and practical training, after which students would be responsible to arrange to take the licensure test (about $100). Class capacity is 8 students.

Interested students should plan to attend an information session beginning at 11 a.m. in Bareis 310, Thursday, Nov. 16. This session is highly recommended. Details about the application process will be provided, and materials will be due no later than Friday, Nov. 24 at noon to Dr. Pamela Faber at pfaber@heidelberg.edu. Candidate review will begin on Monday, Nov. 27, and 8 students and one alternate will likely be determined that week. If you have on-campus housing, you will be allowed to stay if you are approved through the normal process via Residence Life.

Contact Dr. Faber with any additional questions.
