Trustee Susan Wolf to join OFIC Hall of Excellence
Trustee Dr. Susan C. Wolf, ’71, has been selected for induction into the Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges Hall of Excellence. President Rob Huntington made the announcement Thursday, Jan. 21.
As alumni of OFIC member institutions, Hall of Excellence inductees demonstrate service and philanthropy throughout their lives and careers, with special emphasis on service to their alma maters. Susan is a great champion for science students at Heidelberg. n addition to supporting many capital campaigns as well as ACCE, Susan has contributed generously toward the Cadaver Lab. In 2015, she and her husband, Stephen Reynolds, established and funded an endowed faculty chair for the dean of Natural Sciences. I believe this gift will have a profound impact on our students far beyond the classroom for generations to come.
"I have great respect and appreciation for Susan’s guidance, wisdom and direct approach to leadership during her eight-plus years as a member of the Board of Trustees," Rob said. "She has an extraordinary ability to recognize what is necessary to enhance the educational experience for our students, and then steps up to make it happen."
Susan will be in great company when she is inducted into the Hall of Excellence on April 6 in downtown Columbus. Joining her will be the Rev. Dr. Gary Simpson from Denison University, Sister Diana Stano of Ursuline College and Dr. Mervin C. Yoder of Malone University. Susan will become only the fifth Heidelberg graduate so honored since OFIC began this prestigious award in 1987, following Russell Gifford (1992), the late Ralph Besse (2000), John Adams (2009) and Sondra Libman (2013).
Congratulations, Susan, on this well-deserved recognition!
