CNIT is here to help!

Technology enhances and enriches the educational experience at Heidelberg University. CNIT's Helpdesk offers a wide range of IT Services to empower and support our students, faculty, and staff. All IT information and support requests must be submitted via a ticket before assistance is provided.

What is the Service Desk?

Heidelberg's IT Department (CNIT) has an online service desk called SolarWinds. CNIT uses this platform to assist campus with technology problems. SolarWinds also houses a knowledge base where all of campus can look up solutions for questions users might have and 'how to' guides for downloads and products. The knowledge base is mostly used by students looking to onboard a device to WiFi or to install their free version of Microsoft Office 365.
