Residence Halls will close during certain break periods during the year. Students must request to stay on campus during breaks where the University is closed. Students approved to stay on campus will be charged additional housing fees. Below you will find information regarding the 2023-24 break schedules.
Fall Break Housing Notice
The Residence Halls will remain open for Fall Break 2023.
Thanksgiving Break Housing Notice
The residence halls close for Thanksgiving Break on Saturday, November 18th at 10:00 am and will re-open on Sunday, November 26th at 12:00 Noon. The Thanksgiving Break Registration Form will open on November 1st. All students needing to stay on campus during Thanksgiving Break will need to register by 9:00 am, Monday, November 13th. Housing during Thanksgiving Break is not covered by standard room and board fees and therefore has additional costs for students wishing to remain in campus housing. The cost to stay on campus is $104. All requests are subject to approval by the Office of Residence Life. Completion of the request form does not guarantee approval to stay in campus housing. Applications submitted or requested after this date will be subject to a $25 Late Fee. All students must vacate their university housing by 10 am on Saturday, November 18th unless they are registered and approved to stay for Break Housing.
Winter Break Housing Notice
The residence halls close for Winter Break on Friday, December 15th at 10:00 am and will re-open on Tuesday, January 9th at 12:00 Noon. The Winter Break Registration Form will open on November 27th. All students needing to stay on campus during Winter Break will need to register by 9:00 am, Monday, December 11th. Housing during Winter Break is not covered by standard room and board fees and therefore has additional costs for students wishing to remain in campus housing. The cost to stay on campus is $104/week. All requests are subject to approval by the Office of Residence Life. Completion of the request form does not guarantee approval to stay in campus housing. The residence halls close for Spring Break on Saturday, March 2nd at 10:00 am and will re-open on Sunday, March 10th at 12:00 Noon. The Spring Break Registration Form will open on February 12th. All students needing to stay on campus during Spring Break will need to register by 9:00 am, Monday, February 26th. Housing during Spring Break is not covered by standard room and board fees and therefore has additional costs for students wishing to remain in campus housing. The cost to stay on campus is $100. All requests are subject to approval by the Office of Residence Life. Completion of the request form does not guarantee approval to stay in campus housing. Applications submitted or requested after this date will be subject to a $25 Late Fee. All students must vacate their university housing by 10 am on Saturday, March 2nd unless they are registered and approved to stay for Break Housing.
