The ultimate objective of the Campus Program is to create a systemic change that directly improves the campus culture in regards to sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking. The Campus Program is designed to develop and/or strengthen our university’s comprehensive responses to sexual misconduct, establish comprehensive prevention education and awareness programs, and develop and/or strengthen victim services and advocacy.
Coordinated Community Response Team
One of the ways our goal is achieved is by creating a Community Coordinated Response Team (CCRT). Our University CCRT was established and hosted the first meeting January 25, 2018. The CCRT is a multidisciplinary team of campus and community partners that meet monthly to regularly assess, plan, monitor, and evaluate campus prevention and response efforts. CCR Teams are not the same as other campus response teams that may already be in place on campus (such as Title IX compliance teams or Sexual Assault Response Teams, which are generally activated when a critical incident occurs).
The CCRT encourages individuals and departments to work collaboratively to achieve the goals of the grant, and improve our programming by avoiding inconsistent or duplicative efforts. The CCRT is comprised of 20 internal campus representatives from departments including but not limited to student affairs, athletics, health and counseling services, human resources and Title IX, campus safety, residence life, multicultural student affairs, student engagement, faculty members, and undergraduate/graduate students. The CCRT also includes representatives from our external partners including the Tiffin Police Department, Seneca County Victim’s Assistance Program, and Firelands Counseling & Recovery Services.

The Coordinated Community Response Team of Heidelberg University is a group of both campus and community partners who promote the strengthening of policy, programming, and resources that benefits the entire campus community in an effort to end sexual and relationship violence and empower those who have experienced it.
