Cultural Encounters: Things We Wish We Understood

Panelists from China, Colombia, Germany, India, and Saudi Arabia will share a few things that are sometimes misunderstood by visitors to their country such as time/punctuality, personal space (the distance we stand from another person when talking), touching (shaking hands, hugging, kissing), gestures (meaning can vary drastically from one country to another), attitudes toward others (family, strangers, opposite gender, children, elderly, etc.), and success (what each society values as success). This event is free and open to the public.
