A.L.I.C.E. - Active Shooter Response Training
The purpose of A.L.I.C.E. is to prepare individuals to handle the threat of an active shooter until law enforcement arrives. A.L.I.C.E. teaches individuals to participate in their own survival while leading others to safety. Though no one can guarantee success in this type of situation, using A.L.I.C.E. response methods can improve the overall odds of survival. Jeff Rhoades, director of Campus Safety & Security, will be conducting training in Herbster Chapel. Future training sessions to be scheduled are Emergency Procedures Training in October and Back Injury Prevention & Avoiding Slips, Trips and Falls in November.
