The John Quinn Lecture Series - James Joyce's Dubliners

This St. Patrick's Day, the Heidelberg English Department and the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library are co-hosting the first in an ongoing series of free public lectures about Tiffin native John Quinn and his connection with the modern art and literature scenes in the early 20th century. During his lifetime Quinn amassed the largest collection of modern art in the world and worked with many famous writers like T. S. Eliot, William Butler Yeats, and James Joyce.

The first lecture will be held entirely online and will include guest speaker, Dr. Ellen Scheible of Bridgewater University, author of the book, Rethinking Joyce's Dubliners. Dr. Scheible will lead a discussion on James Joyce's short story collection, Dubliners. The event will also include a short presentation by Dr. Barry Devine from the Heidelberg English Department about John Quinn, his family connections with Tiffin and Fostoria, and his relationship with James Joyce.

Please register in advance for this event. When you register, you will receive a Zoom link in the days before the event.
