Operation Street Smart
Please note that registration for this event is now closed.
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office created Operation Street Smart in July 2002 as a way to take community-oriented policing (COP) to a new level. The goal of Street Smart is to provide current and up-to-date narcotics information on trends, terminology, paraphernalia, and physiological effects to those individuals who deal with addicted populations and today’s youth. This is an excellent training for anyone planning to work with individuals involved in the criminal justice system, as counselors, as educators, and for anyone who has concerns about loved ones struggling with addiction.
This is the second time that the Criminology Department and the Master of Arts in Counseling Program (MAC) have been able to bring Operation Street Smart to Heidelberg. Please join us for this free training, which is open to faculty, students, staff, alumni and family members.
