The Lichtman-Behm Genocide Lecture Series
Lichtman-Behm Lecture Series 15th Year Anniversary Celebration
In 2010, Mr. Don Behm, Class of 1951, a direct participant in the liberation of the Mauthausen Concentration Camp at the close of World War II, and Holocaust survivor Mr. Jimmy Lichtman spoke to Heidelberg’s campus. This program triggered the establishment of the Lichtman-Behm Genocide Lecture Series to remember and honor the survivors and the liberators, not only of the Holocaust but of all incidents of genocide, and has featured a keynote speaker and school outreach each year.
On April 1, 2026, at 9:00 am, we invite you to join the 15-Year Anniversary Celebration of the Lichtman-Behm Genocide Lecture Series.
Don Behm and Jimmy Lichtman, founders of this series, have passed away. Our memory of them continues to guide us to educate others about genocide and actions we can take to prevent genocide in the future.
