Arbor Day & Earth Day Celebration

The Heidelberg Tree Advisory Committee, in partnership with the Heidelberg Alliance for Sustainability, is hosting the Arbor Day & Earth Day Celebration to highlight the importance of trees in our society. The event will start with a welcome from members of both host groups, followed by a special guest speaker, Mike Pinkston, who serves as Chair of the City of Tiffin's Shade Tree & Beautification Commission, to share his thoughts on the importance of trees in our community and what the Shade Tree Commission does throughout Tiffin.

Following Mike's presentation, the Alliance for Sustainability will unveil its QR Code project, which will now allow members of the community to learn about the wide variety of trees on Heidelberg's Campus by scanning QR code plaques placed near many of the trees across campus. Then participants in the event will be able to go around and be among the first to try out the new QR codes!
