The Changes from College to University, Explained

Celebrate Heidelberg’s history and join us for a digital tour on why Heidelberg has switched from college to university three times. 

Please join us for this digital tour and an evening of remembrance as we recognize the reasons why Heidelberg’s name was changed in 1890, 1926 and 2009. We will also be acknowledging the man who changed Heidelberg’s name in 1890, John Kost; the burning down of Heidelberg’s museum and gymnasium in 1985; as well as the celebrations of the 2009 name change.
